Skin diseases in pregnancy

Common skin conditions during pregnancy generally can be separated into hormone-related, preexisting, and pregnancy-specific conditions. Most of them are benign in nature, though others have a high disease burden for the pregnant women or may be even associated with an elevated risk for the embryo or the pregnant and should be thoroughly examined, diagnosed and treated in line with current guidelines.
